Recreation Area in Yangon: Preparations underway to upgrade Zoological Garden

Preparations are underway at the Yangon Zoological Garden to be a better recreation area for visitors. Currently, Yangon Zoological Garden receives about 1,000 visitors on weekdays and over 2,000 visitors on weekends and gazette holidays.

Interesting activities and programmes are organized on the weekends and gazette holidays for the visitors.

Kyaw Ye Thiha Phay, Administrator, Yangon Zoological Garden, said " We are trying our best to offer the best services to the visitors. Our staff are trained systematically to be able to provide good services to the visitors such as sharing knowledge about animals, helping visitors in taking photographs and making sure the safety of the visitors and their properties."

As the open season has arrived, the animal talent shows are held on weekends and gazette holidays to entertain the visitors.

Moreover, the visitors can take photographs together with some friendly animals on weekends and gazette holidays. The visitors can also buy animal food from the food shops in the zoo with the reasonable prices to feed the animals. The zoo is open from 8 am to 4 pm.
