









Families of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy, Air) organized a Kathina Donation Ceremony in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.
The ceremony was graced by 27 members of the Sangha led by Ovada Cariya Sayadaw of UppataSandhi Pagoda Board of Trustees, Patron of the PaukMyaing Monastery of Lewe Bhadanda Zaneinda and Patron Sayadaw of Pyinmana Pali University Mingala Zayyon Monastery Bhadanda Vimala Buddhi.
Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and wife and congregation viewed the displayed of the Kathina Robes, donated items and offertory stands to be donated to the monasteries. The Senior General and wife later paid homage to the Buddha image and offered emerald alms, flowers, water, light and fruits.
The Congregation received Nine Precepts from the PaukMyaing Sayadaw, and listened to the sermon delivered by the members of the Sangha. The Senior General and wife later donated Kathina Robes and offertories to the Yayzin KanOo Monastery Sayadaw Bhadanda Vilasa and PaukMyaing Monastery Sayadaw.
Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy-Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chef (Army) Vice Senior General Soe Win and wife donated Kathina Robe and Offertories to the Mingala Zayyon Monastery Sayadaw. It was followed by the donations of Kathina Robes and offertories to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha by the Senior Military Officers and wives.
This is the 12th Kathina Donation Ceremony by the families of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy, Air), and a total of 84 offertory stands which worth over 171 million kyats were donated to the respective monasteries.
