Drugs seizure: Nearly one million of stimulant tablets seized in Mandalay

Nearly one million of stimulant tablets  worth over 1.46 billion Kyats was seized in Mandalay according to the Myanmar Police Force.

Acting on a tip-off, a combined team including members of Mandalay Region Police Force inspected a passengers vehicle driven by Myo Myint Maung (a) Phoe Thar on Yangon-Mandalay Road near Dagondaing roundabout, Pyigyidagon Township, Mandalay Region at 2 PM on October 31st and seized 0.975 million of stimulant tablets worth over 1.46 billion Kyats in market price and one million Kyats.

According to the investigation, Myo Nyunt Aung (a) Ah Nge Che who was cooperated in carrying the drugs was arrested at the corner between 56 and 130 Streets, (F) ward of Pyigyidagon Township at 2:30 PM and Kyaw Kyaw Win (a) U Kyaw near Dagondaing roundabout, Dagondaing Ward at 7:30 PM together with a motor cycle. 

It’s revealed that the drugs were carried from Mandalay Region to Rakhine State. The three of them have been taken action under the law and the investigation is underway to reveal the chain of criminals, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
