Regional Development in Yamethin: Kyee Ni Lake & Technological University inspected

Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Maung Ko together with the Regional Ministers inspected on Monday Kyee Ni Lake in Yamethin Township that has been used since the time of King Bagan Kyaw Swa in 665 ME.

There, the Chief Minister called for no shortage of drinking water in the villages that are depending on Kyee Ni Lake and effective water supply to the paddy fields and coordinated the needs.

The Chief Minister and party then visited Technological University (Yamethin) where they viewed around the university. Technological University (Yamethin) was established as the Government Technical Institute in 1999 and then it was upgraded to the Government Technical College in 2009 and the Technological University in 2010.

During 20 years, 1,801 diploma certificate holders and 3,156 graduates have been produced. In response to the report of an official, the Chief Minister said that he visited there to fulfill the needs on academic sector and called for the neat and tidty in line with good characteristic of the universities and effective use of budget and maintenance tasks and coordinated essentials with departmental officials.

Later, the Chief Minister and party looked into 75-acre model field for yielding more than 100 baskets of monsoon paddy for 2022-2023 in Kyu Taw Wa village-tract in Pyaw Bwe Township and coordinated the needs on the reports of farmers.
