







Opening ceremony of Applied Computer Advance Course and certificate giving ceremony of Applied Computer Instructors were jointly held by the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs and Yangon region government on 31st October at the director office of the ministry in Yangon. The ceremonies were held with the aim to create more job opportunities and to develop socio economic lives for the ethnic youth.
Zaw Aye Maung, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Ethnic Affairs said “There are various kinds of ethnic people live in Yangon. Under the instruction of the SAC chairman, implementations to create more job opportunities, the training is opened for the ethnic people in Yangon. After completed the course, they can earn for living either as a computer instructors or can apply computer professional position in Companies.”
Likewise, Yangon region government arranges hostels and provides food with government budget for ethnic people.
Htay Lin, Trainer said “We train how to fix the computer, how to use the computer professionally and how to connect Network on computer. And also photography editing and video editing courses, digital and social media marketing which are concerned with the media are conducted. The ethnic trainees are mostly from Hmawbi and Taikky.”
Myat Myat Oo, 1st Prize Winner, Applied Computer Instructors Training Course said “Technology plays a very important role nowadays. So, I came from Rakhine State to attend this course. In this course, also editing skills are given. We gain a lot of benefits and knowledge concerning with computer by attending this course.”
The training course has been taken for one month starting from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs and Chief Minister of Yangon Region attended the ceremony and gave awards to the winners during ceremony, it’s learnt.
