Sufficient Power Supply: MOEP Union Minister discusses power distribution in Thandwe

Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han met with the District and Township Engineers, Township Electrical Officers and staff in Thandwe District on Sunday.

Officials reported on annual consumption of electricity, plans to reduce power wastages and future plans.

The Union Minister stressed the needs to make arrangements for increased distribution of electricity according to the power demand.

He added to prepare budget plan for stringing of power lines to the towns and villages in Rakhine State that have not access of electricity. The Union Minister and party later inspected 66 KV Thandwe (NanChaung) Power Substation, and gave instructions to conduct regular maintenance for long term durability.
