Illegal Trade: Illegal vehicles, goods worth over 278 mln Kyats seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 9th and 11th of October, illegal vehicles, crude oil and suitcases were seized at the Suspension Bridge Checkpoint on Pathein-Chaungtha Road and at the Myanmar Industrial Port Container Checkpoint as well as on the Shwebo-Myitkyina Road and in Minbu township and at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) Combined Checkpoint.

In total, illegal vehicles and goods worth over 278 million Kyats were confiscated. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
