Religious Ceremony: Whole town alms offering ceremony in Sittwe

The whole town alms offering ceremony took place on Sunday, the full moon day of Thadingyut, in Sittwe Township of Rakhine State. Member of the State Administration of Council [SAC] Daw Aye Nu Sein and Chief Minister Dr. Aung Kyaw Min and many other officials joined this ceremony at the Atula Marazein Pyi Lon Chantha  Pagoda.

The ceremony began with paying homage to the Pagoda and offering flowers and oil lights. It continued with offering alms and offertories to over 600 members of the Sangha and nuns. It’s learnt that the Atula Marazein Pyi Lon Chantha Pagoda Board of Trustees annually organizes the whole town alms offering ceremony in Sittwe Township.
