The Media and Information Literacy (MIL) organized by the Ministry of Information was opened in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.
At the event, Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint said that the MIL is the use of facts including in media and information, review, creation, sharing and applying. He called on the trainees to learn the subjects conducting in the training to be able to apply in the practical work and sharing the knowledge from training on MIL to colleagues.
The trainees are urged to strive for achieving the objectives of opening the awareness course and make efforts to be able to use effectively in practical work. The course will be opened until 12th August and 31 officers from respective Ministries will attend the course.
The introduction and background history of MIL, MIL framework in Myanmar and ecosystem subject, information subject, information disorder (7 basis categories) subject, fake and fabricated news, social media subject, subjects on freedom of expression, hate speech and their impacts and checking facts will be conducted in the training.
