Illegal Trade: Illegal items, jade and vehicle seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

In total, on the 29th and 30th of July and the 1st of August, illegal computer spare parts, electronic products, motor vehicle spare parts, raw jade, mobile and motorcycle spare parts, foodstuff, cosmetic products, umbrella making materials, consumer goods, teak blocks for flooring and an unregistered vehicle were seized at the 16th mile Kyaukchaw check point and in Pyin Oo Lwin Township of Mandalay Region, at the Asia World Container check point in Yangon Region, at the Mingyithonepar check point in Shan State, in Kyauktakar Township of Bago Region and on the Yangon-Mandalay Highway.

In total, illegal items, jade and vehicle worth over 282 million Kyats were seized. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
