Illegal Trade: Illegal timber, chemical and consumer goods seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the28th, 29th and 30th of July, illegal timber, restricted Ammonium Nitrate and undeclared phone accessories, computer accessories, electronic equipment and consumer goods were seized in Bago and Toungoo districts, at Nantsiaung Checkpoint in Kachin State and on the Mandalay-PyinOoLwin Road.

In total,illegal timber, chemical and consumer goods worth over 67 million Kyats were seized. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
