Covid-19 safety measures: Passengers need to follow COVID-19 rules

Due to declining of COVID-19 cases in Myanmar, the entry restrictions have been eased gradually by the Ministry of Health for the domestic flights since May, 2022.

According to the official of the Department of Public Health, the domestic flights are currently operating in accordance with the COVID-19 health guidelines and rules of the Ministry of Health.

Dr. Nyan Win Myint, Director, Department of Public Health said "The passengers who are fully-vaccinated will not require RTD test and laboratory tests. However, RTD tests are required for the passengers who have not received a full dose of vaccination. The passengers need to follow COVID-19 rules and regulations of COVID-19 when they take a flight. They need to check body temperature screening and symptoms of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. COVID-19 safety measures are being undertaken for passengers such as keeping a 3-ft distance from each other, wearing masks and temporarily suspending for serving food for passengers."

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Health, washing hands regularly and wearing masks can be protected from COVID-19 infection, monkeypox and other infectious diseases. The Ministry of Health is underway the testing processes for COVID-19, monkeypox and other infectious diseases and the airlines and the passengers are urged to pay special attention to follow the set rules.
