







The effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law supervised by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
On 26 July, an on-duty team at the Yepu permanent checkpoint in Shan State captured fertilizers which are mixed with restricted chemical — Ammonium Nitrate — and liquid fertilizer bags that did not declare in the Import Declaration (ID) from a Nissan Diesel 22-wheel truck.
Similarly, the medical equipments without an Import license were seized at Yangon International Airport Warehouse on 26 July;
On 27 July, the furniture accessories without declaration in the Import Declaration (ID) were seized at the Asia World container checkpoint.
In addition, an on-duty team confiscated consumer goods that exceeded the Import Declaration (ID) from a Nissan Diesel truck heading from Myawady to Yangon at the Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint.
On 28 July, on 27th July, the Myanmar Industrial Container Terminal checkpoint seized wooden statues and two Buddha images without declaration in the Export Declaration (ED) and an approved letter of the Department of Archaeology and National Museum.
A team led by Myanmar Police Force captured 22,000 gallons of illegal fuel worth 22 billion Kyats on the road in Wuntho Township on 26 and 28 July.
On 28 July, the 16-mile Kyaukchaw checkpoint confiscated industrial materials and auto parts that did not declare in the Import Declaration (ID) from a Foton Tractor Head truck.
Afterwards, illegal teak and hardwood in the Bago and Toungoo districts were captured on 29 July.
Therefore, 23 arrests (approximately 473.97 Kyats) were made on four consecutive days from 26 to 29 July, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
