COVID-19 Update: 34 new COVID-19 cases reported on July 29

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 34 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Friday after testing 7,432 patients within 24 hours, and 6 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 614,043 with 19,434 deaths and 592,871 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Republic of Korea, Russian Federation, Turkiye, Spain and Japan according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:33 pm CEST, 29 July 2022, there have been over 572 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.39 million deaths.
