Sunflower Cultivation To Expand: To Improve Production Of Edible Oil Extensively

The Committee for Oil Crops Extension of Cultivation was formed to fulfill the needs of oil self-sufficiency and meet the domestic needs of edible oil. During the cultivation season, the necessary implementations will be carried out the research processes to significantly improve the production of edible oil and expand the cultivation of 1.5 million acres of sunflower crops.

In the monsoon season and late monsoon season of 2022-2023, the officials will supports the requirement in each area where the sunflower and oil crops will be cultivated. It Also will implement to be able to successfully produce sunflower seeds in areas with suitable water and soil conditions. 

And the agricultural equipment and requirements will be supported for farmers and private entrepreneurs to implement the joint-venture farming system as well as will invite investments for the development of edible oil production industries.
