Hotels and Tourism industry: Implement 7 sectors to create safe and hazard-free zone

Directorate of Hotels and Tourism under the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism is working on 7 sectors to create a safe and hazard-free zone and to facilitate the influx of international visitors.

In order to be safe and provide good service regarding the COVID-19 in hotels, the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism encourage hotels try to upgrade to the national level, regional level and international level.

Nanda Aung, Directorate of Hotels and Tourism, State Officer said "Tourism sector can’t be implemented by the Ministry alone. We must always try together. Under the leadership of the Union Minister and the cooperation of all the officials from each states and regions, we are prioritizing domestic tourism first. We are trying to advertise with digital marketing in order to attract foreign visitors from the international market. We are working to protect against the virus and provide training in each states and region. The main thing is to prepare to be ready when the international visitors arrive."

There will be more job opportunities and the economy will improve when tourism sector develop in the country. There are 489 hotels in Yangon region and which 297 hotels are currently open.
