







The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement held honouring ceremony to outstanding students from the training schools opened by the Department of Social Welfare who excelled in the matriculation exam for 2021-2022 academic year in conjunction with a ceremony to publish the three books of stories and poems complied by the department on Monday.
On the occasion, Union Minister Dr Thet Thet Khine said that the Ministry has drafted plan for the comprehensive development children. For the income generation activities, coordination is made for teaching and training the youths according to their hobbies through the Training Schools for Development of Nationalities Youth, the Government Technical High Schools, the State High Schools of Arts and the Sports and Physical Education Institutes.
The Union Minister called for the students to try hard in learning advanced subjects and make systematic choice for their livelihood. She also said the poem and story books have been published to support nurturing of good habits of reading books for preschool age children and good moral as well as to cherish traditional culture.
Deputy Minister U Aung Tun Khine called for continuous publication of 3 books of stories and poems supporting the early childhood development. The relevant region and district departmental heads presented awards to 14 students from the training schools under the Social Welfare Department.
43 students from 9 training schools of the Social Welfare Department took 2021-2022 matriculation exam and out of them, 14 students passed the exam. Among them, 3 students got 2 distinctions and 3 students got one distinction.
