Monsoon Paddy Cultivation: Agricultural Mechanization Dept. organizes demonstration

Kachin State Agricultural Mechanization Department held an educative demonstration for farmers on monsoon paddy cultivation was held at the 100-acre model field at Man Khain ward in Myitkyina on Monday.

The event aimed to increase income for farmers by reducing labour costs, low cost of seeds, solving the problems on labor shortage and to expand the business.

Kachin State Chief Minsiter U Khet Htein Nan and concerned officials attended the ceremony and the Head of the State Agricultural Mechanization Department explained about process of sowing seeds with a seeding machine, functions of paddy planting machine and the benefits from it.

Later, the Chief Minister and party observed demonstration monsoon paddy cultivation with rice transplanter in 100-acre field together with faculties and students from the Agricultural Institute.
