Plan for Technical Assistance: MoIP Union Minister receives Indian Ambassador

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Khin Yi received Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Vinay Kumar at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 25th July.

The meeting focused on the Ministry's endeavours for e-ID system and arrangements for 2024 nationwide population and household census, efforts for implementing e-Government system in Myanmar and progress of works, holding of e-ID seminars and workshops with the assistance of Indian Amabassy in Myanmar and appointment of technical advisors, efforts of Myanmar technicians in e-ID implementation system.

They also exchanged views on assistance to hire technical experts from India in short-term for e-ID and GIS system in collecting 2024 population census and plan to assist from India for experts and advisors necessary for the tasks of the Ministry.
