Sports Facilities: Meeting the athletes and construction of sports facilities

Deputy Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Myo Hlaing and officials visited Myanmar Rowing and Canoeing Federation at Inya Lake in Yangon on Saturday.

The Deputy Minister met with the athletes, and inspected the hostels and the chosen site for construction of 4-storey building to be used as the hostel. They later went to Myanmar Paralympic Sports Federation in North Dagon Myothit Township, and encouraged the athletes who are going to participate in the 11th ASEAN Para Games.

The Deputy Minister urged them to strive for bringing prestige to the nation, and to take care their health. The Deputy Minister and party later inspected the chosen site for building a bleacher at the swimming pool, synthetic run way at Padetha Sports Ground and a bleacher at the football ground in South Okkalapa Township, and the chosen site for construction of a bleacher at the National Swimming Pool in Dagon Township.

The Deputy Minister later met with the staff at the Institute of Sports and Physical Education (Yangon) and provided assistance.
