Mekong-Lancang Cooperation: Hybrid Seminar on Innovation & Young Entrepreneurship

Aiming to jointly implement an economic ecosystem by businesspersons from countries in the Mekong-Lancang region, entrepreneurs and all other stakeholders, a seminar is underway. This Hybrid Seminar titled ‘Innovation and Young Entrepreneurship for Regional Development’ is designed for strong cooperation in research and entrepreneurship among regional countries.

Thein Swe, DG , Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection said "The 1st Seminar was held in 2019. In this one, there are 10 subjects for the entrepreneurs to study. The 1st part includes 6 subjects and the rest is in the 2nd part. From this seminar, entrepreneurs and the governmental officials and staff in the countries will gain benefit from sharing knowledge with each other. "

In this event, a knowledge sharing session will be done to encourage creativity and to quickly use the MSMEs digital system which includes service providing, product distribution, brand names strengthening, establishing strong connections with the consumers and identifying opportunities to improve the quality and quantity of the employment.

Aung Soe Lwin, Principal Cum Founder, Myanmar Institute of Higher Education said "10 types of innovation along with a knowledge sharing session are also included in this seminar. Several entrepreneurs are attending this event and I think that the attendees can apply this information in doing their next businesses and can make the businesses develop than before."

Nilar, Director, Galone Min Nyi Naung Cotton Trading said "I’ve got a lot of knowledge concerning with what the young people in Myanmar can do and what they can invent for own-business. We are doing the own- production such as bags and dresses from banana fabric. "

Zaw Myo Aung, Managing Director, Eva Hub Biz Solution Co., Ltd. said "I’m very glad to attend this event. The entrepreneurs from different states and regions are attending this seminar and so I got well networking and can exchange ideas and share knowledge with each other."

This Hybrid Seminar on Innovation and Young Entrepreneurship for Regional Development is in Nay Pyi Taw set to be held till July 24 from July 22. The delegations from the People’s Republic of China, Laos, Vietnam and Thailand in Mekong-Lancang Region are attending this seminar via online and also, the entrepreneurs from various states, regions and union territory, MSMEs businessperson and officials working on small and media enterprises are attending this seminar in person.
