Illegal Trade: Illegal goods, Timber, Equipment And Products Seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade. Onthe 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st of July, illegal timber, fishery products, tractor equipment without official documents, undeclared consumer goods, illegal mobile phone spare parts and computer accessories, and also illegal timber were seized in Thandwe, An and Taungup townships of Rakhine State, Minbu (Sagu) Township of Magway Region, Kawthaung Township of Tanintharyi Region, Htigyaing Township of Sagaing Region, at the container terminal of the Myanmar Industrial Port, the 16thmile Kyaukchaw Checkpoint and also in Bago and Pyay districts. In total,illegal goods, timber, equipment and products worth over 65 million Kyats were seized. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
