SAC Meeting [6/2022]: Senior General Addresses The Meeting

The State Administration Council meeting (6/2022) was held at the SAC Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw, Thursday. SAC Chairman Prime Minsiter Senior General Min Aung Hlaing delivered an address at the meeting, saying that the State Administration Council took the state responsibilities by declaring the state of emergency in accordance with the Constitution and did not seize the state power.
The executive, legislative and judiciary matters are carried out based on the existing laws according to the Constitution.
The Senior General clarified taking actions to the terrorisms in line with the law, destruction and terrorist acts of NUG and CRPH, killing of terrorist groups to monks, nuns, innocent people and educational staff without reasons. Due to the so-called PDF terrorists, 52 monks and 1 nun were killed, 9 injured and 8 missing, totaling 70 as of 20th July.In regarding with killing of educational staff, 47 people died and 21 were injured by the PDF terrorists and 25 people are missing. It is found that Sagaing and Magway Regions have the highest number in killings of education staff.
Concerning the education promotion, the Senior General said that since 2021, the basic education schools have been reopened. The matriculation examinations were held and the exam results were released. The covid-19 vaccines are given to school-aged children between aged 5 and 18.
More than 5.8 million students have been vaccinated and more than 35.8 millions have been vaccinated against Covid-19 nationwide. The Senior General added that there areabout 33 million sown acreage in the country and rice, beans, corn, sesame and cottons are mainly cultivated. Therefore, it needs to carry out for achieving of the agriculture and livestock sectors for the economic improvement of farmers.
He also stressed the needs on cultivation of long staple cotton for garment industries, manufacturing of cements, construction materials such as irons and steels in local, reducing carbon emission, implementation of hydropower projects by applying renewable energy, generating of solar and wind power energy. Regarding the peace process, peace talks were held with 7 NCA signatories and 3 non NCA-signatories, the talks ended with agreements, any ethnic armed organizations came for peace talks, and if all the ethnic armed organizations participate in the peace talks, the future politics of the country will be better.
Regarding his Russia trip, the Senior General said that friendship and cultural cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries and sectors of military technology, science and technology, research, human resource development, World tourism development, business development and cooperation in cultural sector were discussed and strengthened. This meeting continued with members of the State Administration Council discussing a series of matters including to form Myanmar-Russia Friendship associations, to carry out extensive educational activities to promote mutual understanding between the people of the two countries about the culture and history of the two countries, to systematically nurture young people for the future state, to promote primary school teachers as soon as possible and assign in the needy areas and to eliminate drug use among young people.
The Senior General stressed that friendship associations will be formed to promote tourism industry between the two countries and scholarship programs in science, technology, education and health are being expanded. In education sector, actions will be taken regarding the opening of private schools that do not conform to the education policy.
The Government is making efforts to increase the number of employees in the health centers, and currently, intern doctors and nurses have been added. Moreover, efforts are made in earnest for development of agriculture, transportation.
