Ethnic Affairs: Illustrated Story Books For KG Students

A ceremony was held on Thursday to give illustrated ethnic story books to ethnic KG students in Oattha Myothit Township of Bago Region. 
In the ceremony at the Director Office of the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs, Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win said that giving illustrated story books is to make ethnic children more interested in their language and literature, to help a lot in teaching elementary literature to ethnic children and to reduce the dropout rate. By encouraging and promoting ethnic literature and language, ethnic unity, friendship and respect will be achieved, he added. 
This ceremony continued with giving over 100,000 illustrated ethnic story books literature and culture committees of Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Pa-O, Bamar, Mon, Shan and Rakhine. 
A representative of the committees expressed words of thanks for the books. There, the Chief Minister and many other officials toured the ethnic literature and illustrated story books displayed.
