Care Well General Clinic: Free medical services provided to insured workers

Insured workers can take free medical treatments at the Care Well General Clinic of the Social Security Board.

The medical leaves are provided to them in accordance with rules and regulations. For the pregnant patients, an obstetrics and gynecology center has been set up at the care-well clinic in Kyauk Tada township, Yangon for free service.

Care Well clinics signed agreements with Social Security Board have been opened since 2015. More clinics have been opened in Hlaing Thaya, Mingaladon, Shwe Pyi Tha and Dagon Seikkan Industrial zones as well as Hlaing Thaya township. There are a total of 10 clinics opened in  Dekkhina Thiri and Bawga Thiri townships of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area this year, according to the Medical In-charge. 

Medical In-charge, Social Security Board Care Well Clinic said "Obstetricians and gynecologists have given medical services in care well clinic since 2019 and patients can receive treatment with OG specialists. Our clinic also provide treatments to hypertension, diabetes, infectious disease patients and twin pregnancies, miscarry and miscarriages pregnancy during their pregnant period. We also support to the patients to transfer to another hospital in time if we can’t handle their cases."

Care well clinics provide health care services not only to pregnant women who have insured workers but also other patients without insurance cards.

Dr. Zarni Aung, Medical In-charge, Care Well Clinic (Kyauk Tada Township) said "In this clinic, most of the patients are chronic disease such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, obesity, high cholesterol, chronicle and paralysis. Common young people treat for injuries and if we can’t handle their case, we will refer patients to other relevant hospitals. For kidney or liver diseases, we transfer to the 500-bed hospital or other hospitals as their wish."

Patient said "I have hypertension disease. I joined social security board last 16 years. I came to this clinic because social security card holders can take treatment. If I take treatment in another hospital, doctor will refund the cost. This clinic has cared of me from the time I was pregnant until born my baby."

Care Well clinics provide systemic health care program in collaboration with Ministry of Labor. The clinics also form care well medical professional groups to provide systematic and quality health care system to people.
