Japan, Australia defence ministers meet in Tokyo

Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Richard Marles met Japanese Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi in Tokyoas the two countries deepen their cooperation.In the meeting the two leaders discussed regional affairs and strongly opposed unilateral changes to international order.Japan and Australia also reconfirmed the importance of free and open international order of the seas. Japan and Australia will step up their joint exercise and activities to deepen our practical defense engagement in the face of current regional circumstances.
