White House lit in orange to raise gun violence awareness

The White House was lit up in orange Friday for National Gun Violence Awareness Day.

In the last month, there has been a spate of mass shootings across the US, including a school in Uvalde, Texas and a medical facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Capitol dome in California and city hall in New York City will also be illuminated in orange over the weekend. This is the eighth time the annual event has been held.
