FBI blocked cyber attack on children's hospital

FBI Director Christopher Wray says agents prevented a planned cyber attack on a Boston children's hospital. He told a Boston College cyber security conference on Wednesday that the FBI learned of the planned digital attack from an unspecified intelligence partner. He said that it’s one of the most despicable cyber attacks that he's seen. He added quick actions by everyone involved, especially at the hospital, protected both the network and the sick kids who depended on it. The FBI chief recounted that anecdote in a broader speech about cyber threats from Russia, China and Iran and the need for partnerships between the U.S. government and the private sector.
