Pope leads rosary prayer, calls for 'gift of peace'

Pope Francis prayed for the "gift of peace" on Tuesday as he led a rosary prayer at the Saint Mary Major Basilica.The Pope, who attended the mass in a wheelchair, read a prayer asking the Holy Mary to bring peace to the world.A Ukrainian family was among those that attended the service.The 85-year-old Argentine has been suffering from strained ligaments in his right knee for months, andrecently has been using a wheelchair. Francis will travel to Kazakhstan in September for an interfaith conference, a meeting that may give him a chance to meet with the head of the Russian Orthodox Church.
