Tourism Development: New destination sites to be implemented in Shan State

The new destination sites are being implemented in places where there are tourism resources in Shan State.

It is targeted to implement new destination sites in Shan State in 2022-2023 fiscal year, according to the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism.

The Director of Directorate of Hotels and Tourism in Shan State  U Htin Aung Naing said that under the guidance of the Union Minister and the State Government, the tourism sites are being implemented and the State Government targets to develop about 4 or 5 tourism sites.

According to the instruction of the Head of State, it has a plan to implement Kalaw as a tourism city.

Similarly, the car parking, restaurants and public washrooms will be carried out at the Khaw Aut waterfall in the middle part of Shan State and at the Naung Phar Lake for the convenience of visitors.

The community based tourism will be implemented in Wa and Lahu ethnic villages. It is targeted to implement the tourism site at two palaces in the northern Shan State.
