Meeting departmental personnel: SAC Chairman discussed development programmes

State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met departmental officials of Pyin Oo Lwin district and township of Mandalay Region to discuss development programmes at the government’s guesthouse in Pyin Oo Lwin Township on 18 April 2022.

First, PyinOoLwin District Administrator U Kyaw Kyaw Tun explained the coffee plantation in the PyinOoLwin region, development in education and health sectors, arrivals of local and foreign travellers, conservation of ancient heritage buildings to lure travellers and other matters.

Union Ministers Admiral Tin Aung San and U Khin Maung Yi then reported on the Mandalay-Pyin Oo Lwin-Gokteik Viaduct train service, arrangements to offer steam locomotive train route, conservation works on the Gokteik Viaduct and Pyin Oo Lwin railway station, initial operations to upgrade Anisakhan Airport, work plans to implement quick communication system, systematic coffee plantations in PyinOoLwin in accordance with the directives of the State Leader and assistance of good seeds and technologies, local and foreign coffee markets, monsoon cherry tree plantation to establish Cherry Town etc.

The Senior General delivered a speech and gave necessary instructions and guidelines. The Senior General finally instructed officials to ensure regional development and greening of the region.
