Thingyan in Sittwe: People merrily take part in water festival

Member of the State Administration Council Daw Aye Nu Sein, together with Rakhine State Chief Minister Dr Aung Kyaw Min an officials, attended the opening ceremony of Walking Thingyan on ShuKhinTha Road in Sittwe on Friday.

After formal opening of the ceremony, the SAC member and party strolled along the road and enjoyed water throwing at the pandals where the charity feasts were served.

They later viewed around the view point and Sittwe Hotel where people were taking relaxing and enjoying water throwing. They also toured the water pandals in Sittwe and looked into the people participating in the water festival merrily.

At the central pandal in front of U Uttama Park, the SAC member and party enjoyed the entertainments of famous vocalists and artists and dance troupes.
