Thingyan in Mon State: Central Pandal opened in Mawlamyine

Mon State Maha Thingyan Festival was opened at the central pandal in Mawlamyine on 13th April.  Chief Minister U Zaw Lin Tun and officials formally opened the pandal, and released the birds as a charity.

In his greetings, the Chief Minister wished for longevity, healthy and peacefulness for the residents.  The Chief Minister and party later celebrate Thingyan Festival by sprinkling water with Eugenia Sprigs.

They also enjoyed the entertainments of dance troupes and performances by the vocalists.
