Water Splashing Festival: Ministry of Border Affairs holds opening ceremony

Ministry of Border Affairs held the opening ceremony of the water splashing festival on Wednesday at the Thingyan pandal of the ministry.

The ceremony was held under the COVID-19 preventive measures and attended by Union Minister Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and many other officials.

The Union Minister and party ceremonially opened the ceremony, participated in the festival and awarded the performers cash prizes.

The ministry will celebrate the festival with singings and dances from the 13th to 16th of April, and its departments will serve a variety of food and snacks.
