










Chin State Government organized Myanmar Traditional Thingyan Festival, with an opening ceremony in Hakha on Wednesday.
Chief Minister U Ngun San Aung extended greetings, urging all national brethren to safeguard the character and essence of Thingyan Festival which reflects the cultural image of Myanmar people.
It was followed by the formal opening of the ceremony, and performance of dance troupe along with the song “Thingyan Moe”.
The Chief Minister and attendees enjoyed the performances at the central pandal and presented cash prizes to the dance troupes.
On the 12th, a Golf Tournament in commemoration of the Thingyan Water Festival at Hakha Golf Club. Chief Minister U Ngun San Aung participated in the tournament together with the officials.
The winners of junior and senior level were presented prizes by the officials.
The Golf Tournament was organized with the contribution of 1 million kyats from Chin State Government and 3 million kyats from Chin State Sports and Physical Education Department.
7 golfers participated in the senior level and 14 in the junior level tournament.
