


The historic Mann Shwesettaw Pagoda in Sagu Township in Minbu District of Magway Region is packed with the pilgrims to the extent of full occupation in the guest houses during the Thingyan festival long holidays, according to the Shwesettaw Pagoda Board of Trustees.
Mann Shwesettaw Pagoda festival is held for three months from the 5th Waxing of Tabodwe up to the first day of the Myanmar New Year and the festival is always packed with the heavy crowds. This year, the visitors are allowed to stay in the accommodation buildings from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and prohibited to stay overnight.
Visitors are allowed only with vaccinated certificates, household lists and Citizenship Scrutiny Card. According to the Shwesettaw Pagoda Board of Trustees, the pagoda is most crowded with the visitors during the Thingyan New Year festival, it’s learnt.
