Anti-Illegal Trade: Illegal Timbers, Machinary And Vehicles Seized

On 7th and 8th April, the combined inspection teams led by the Department of Forest under the management of the Yangon Region Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force confiscated teak doors, teak blocks and teak parquet blocks and four vehicles loaded them in north district of Yangon Region.

Similarly, the combined inspection teams led by the Department of Forest under the management of the Rakhine State Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force seized timbers, 3 inches circular saw, Jingdown engine, chain saw in Ann Township and the illegal timbers in Taunggoke Township on 9th April.

On 9th April, the on-duty inspection team under the management of the Customs Department under the management of the Shan State Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force seized illegal motor cycle spare parts covered with scrap metals and two motor vehicles loaded them at Yaypu(ရေပူ) Permanent Checkpoint in Shan State.

The inspection team led by the head officer of Customs Department under the management of the Bago Region Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force seized Soy Milk boxes and detergent power sacks that the official document cannot be submitted for the import permit between NyaungKhaShay and Sittaung Bridge and a motor vehicle transported them. On 10th April, personal use goods were seized between NyaungKhaShay and Daik-U and a NISSAN Caravan vehicle loaded them.

On 10th April, the on-duty inspection team under the management of Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force seized illegal A-4 paper packages at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) combined Checkpoint in Kayin State.

Therefore, 20 arrests (estimated value of 177.731 million Kyats) were made on 7, 8, 9 and 10 April, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
