Garbage Clean-Up Campaign: Activity Conducted In Mrauk-U Ancient City For 2nd Time

The work process was launched for the Mrauk-U Ancient Cultural Heritage Zone in Rakhine State to be enlisted into the list of a World Heritage Site in 2017 and the nomination Dossier for Mrauk-U to be inscribed on the World Heritage List was submitted to the World Heritage Committee in December, 2021.

The beautifying and cleaning of ancient heritage site is part of the Management Plan included in the nomination dossier. The garbage clean-up campaign is conducted at Mrauk-U Ancient Cultural Heritage Zone in Rakhine State every Saturday.
On 9th April, the campaign was conducted at the cultural heritage site for the 2nd time and a total of 450 district and township departmental staff, local people, social organizations and the Mrauk U ancient cultural heritage preservation committee participated in the activity.
