Illicit Trade: Illegal Timbers, Electronics And Vehicles Seized

An action is being taken against illicit trades under the law supervised by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
On 9 April, the port on-duty inspection team under the management of the Customs Department seized cosmetics, phones and computer spare parts, motor vehicle spare parts, home appliances, industrial use machines and equipments that do not comply with the import declaration ID at the Myanmar Industrial Port Container Inspection Station.
Similarly, the combine inspection team under the management of the Customs Department seized illegal supplementary soft drinks at Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint in Mon.
On April 10, an inspection team led by the Myanmar Police Force under the management of Sagaing Region Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force confiscated NISSAN WINGROAD vehicle with license.
Similarly, a combined inspection team led by the Department of Forest of the Bago Region under the management of the Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force confiscated illegal timbers.
Therefore, 6 arrests (estimated value of 578.178 million Kyats) were made on 9 and 10 April, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
