Water Distribution In Yangon: Water To Be Supplied In Shifts From 13th To 16thapril

Engineering Department (Water and Sanitation) of Yangon City Development Committee is distributing 220 million gallons of water daily to townships in Yangon region.
Water will be distributed to the townships in Yangon in shifts from 13th to 16thApril with the aim not to ensure the use of water shortage and to be able to splash water happily for the residents in Yangon during Thingyan, an official of Engineering Department (Water and Sanitation) of YCDC said.
The official said water will be distributed to Kyauktada, Pabedan, Latha, Lanmadaw, Bahan and Dagon townships two times on daily basic from 8am to 11 am and 3 pm to 6pm from 13thto 16thApril, to Alon, Kyimyindaing and Sanchaung Townships from 8 am to 10 am and to other remaining townships as usual schedule. Water will be distributed to all townships in Yangon as usual from Myanmar new year day.
The official added that during shifting periods, if people need urgent help, they can contact to the Engineering Department (Water and Sanitation) of YCDC.
The department is distributing 220 million gallons of water to the townships in Yangon via GyoPhyu, Nyaung Hnapin and Lagoon Pyin water treatment plants as well as Hlaing river-Hlawgar water supporting project by taking water from GyoPhyu, PhuGyi, Hlawgar and Nga Moe Yeik reservoirs.
