Tourism Sector: Union Minister Stresses Preparations In Mandalay, Pyin Oo Lwin

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. Htay Aung on Sunday visited the Mandalay International Airport and inspected information counters and preparations for convenience of travellers in line with the COVID-19 prevention guidelines.
Also, there, at the meeting hall, the Union Minister held a meeting with governmental officials and those from hotels and tourism associations, called for efforts for destinations creation, explained the Ministry’s Enchanting Myanmar Health and Safety Protocol (HSP) programme and stressed the importance of cooperation among the Government, public and private sector for tourism development.
On the same day, in Pyin Oo Lwin Township, the Union Minister held talks with officials from hoteliar association. In this meeting, the Union Minister stressed preparations for tourism sector was about to resume including long-term and short-term plans. He called for cooperation for development of hotels and tourism sector which can also benefit locals.
