Regional Development: SAC Member inspects Cold Storage & Tourism in Rakhine

Member of the State Administration Council Daw Aye Nu Sein, together with Rakhine State Chief Minister Dr Aung Kyaw Min and other officials, inspected the TMP frozen and cold storage factory in Dwarawady Myothit of Thandwe Township in Rakhine State on Thursday, in order to ensure job opportunities for local people and export volumes.

The factory manager reported on the operation of the cold storage factory, numbers of employees, finished-product production rate per day, export volume, livestock breeding, and plans to promote annual finished-product production rate based on fresh raw materials.

The SAC member and party later inspected the fish, prawn and crab production processes of the factory. In Rakhine State, the crab farms are primarily found in Thandwe, Sittway and Kyaukpyu Districts and the soft-shell crabs, fish and prawns from these areas are delivered to China, Japan, China Taipei and European Union Countries.

Later in the day, SAC member Daw Aye Nu Sein and party visited the Paowunmya Padamya Garden in Ngapali of Thandwe Township which has been carried out for promoting local and foreign tourists.
