
The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.
The Ministry reported 53 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 14,246 lab specimens within 24 hours. 90 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. As of April 7, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 612,132 with 19,434 deaths and 590,554 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Italy, Turkey and the Republic of Korea, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 4:07 pm CEST on 7 April, there have been over 493 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.165 million deaths.
