Capitol Hill has a fox problem. Rep. Ami Bera, D-Calif., learned firsthand Monday evening while walking to the Capitol for votes. Rep. Ami Bera, (D) California said "Yeah, it's about five o'clock in the early evening last night and I felt something lunge at me from behind. Thought it was probably a small dog or something, but really pivoted and jumped. I had my umbrella in hand thinking that I would have to shoo a dog away. Then like, that's not a dog. That's a fox. It all was probably like 15 seconds, right. You know, again, kind of moving is holding the fox back."

A medical doctor, Bera looked for puncture wounds. He didn't see evidence of any, but there was some abrasion, so he consulted the Capitol physician, who told him not to take any chances and to get treated.
