Preparations Underway: Ministry Of Ethnic Affairs Holds Meeting For Thingyan Festival

Ministry of Ethnic Affairs held a meeting on preparations for the 2022 Thingyan Festival at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw. In his address, stressing the importance of security measures and called for cooperation, Union Minister U Saw Tun Aung Myint explained the aim to hold the Thingyan Festival.

Also, explaining plans for charity feast, ethnic foods sale, traditional performances and water splashing at the Ministry compound, Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung said that the Ministry’s Yein Troupe has to stage a performance at the pavilion of Nay Pyi Taw City Development Committee.

The meeting continued with discussions on preparations for the 2022 Thingyan Festival at the Ministry including plans for charity feast and ethnic foods sale.
