COVID-19 Update: 87 New Cases With 1 Death Reported On April 1

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 87 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Friday after testing 12,563patients within 24 hours.

1 patient has died due to the disease while 320patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 611,674 with 19,431deaths and 589,632COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, Italy and the Republic of Korea, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 4:59pm CEST, 1 April 2022, there have been over 486 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.14 million deaths.
