COVID-19 Prevention: Vaccination Programme Continues In Regions & States

Ministry of Health has been conducting the COVID-19 vaccination programme in Nay Pyi Taw Council area, regions and states for the disease prevention and control.

On the 25th of March, residents in 14 townships in Mon and Kayin states, 1 township in Yangon Region, 26 townships in Ayeyawaddy Region, 10 townships in Rakhine State, 1 township in Bagon Region and 1 township in Shan State received the COVID-19 vaccines. Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention. The Ministry of Health purchased millions of COVID-19 vaccines and also accepted millions donated by friendly countries.
