70th anniversary celebration: 70th anniversary celebration of MoRAC (Culture) held

The 70th anniversary celebration of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture (Culture) was held at the ministry, Nay Pyi Taw in the evening on 24th March with the attendance of Union Minister U Ko Ko, deputy minister U Tun Ohn, permanent secretary U Myint Oo and officials.

Speaking at the celebration, the Union Minister said that it was initiated with the name of “Union Culture Department” in 1952. Later, it was formed as the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture. The cultural department has been carrying out the tasks for the development and conservation of the culture.

In the undertaking of the cultural affairs, it’s needed to preserve the Myanmar cultural heritages, national characteristics and to strengthen the patriotic spirit, discovering and conserving the archeological heritages such as historic locations, buildings and items and carrying out the sustainability of the cultural heritages, put efforts for the facilitating to bring to light the uninterrupted and credible Myanmar history.

Next, the union minister and officials handed over cash of honor and certificates of honor to the staff members who awarded outstanding prizes.
