Preparations For Election: Voter List Making In Tachileik District

Tachileik District Election Sub-Commission on Tuesday launched a voter list making initial project for election. Chairman of the Union Election Commission U Thein Soe and concerned officials attended the project launching ceremony in Tachileik Township of Shan State.

In his address, the Chairman explained the State Administration Council’s 5-Point Road Map and stressed that preparations are underway to hold a free and fair multiparty democracy election.

He called for cooperation for the correct voter list making, adding that the Commission would double-check the voter lists in August and December 2022 and would meet with political parties in March 2023 for the voter lists. The Chairman also inspected the Tachileik District voter list making process.
