COVID-19 Update: 298 New Cases Reported On March 21

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 298 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing 16,315 lab specimens within 24 hours. There was no patients have died due to the disease while 496 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 609,288 with 19,425 deaths and 565,156 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Russian Federation, Turkey, Italy and Spain, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:18pm CET, 21 March 2022, there have been over 469 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.07 million deaths.
